As a consultant I offer workshops on the following topics. These workshops can be catered to your needs, groups sizes are flexible, workshops usually run for 1 to 4 days depending on needs of school districts or independent schools. 1. Thinking like an assessor: Designing meaningful, engaging assessment tasks that allow for a differentiated approach to learning. At the end of this workhshop teachers will be able to Design assessment tasks with a new approach that moves away from "activity planning" to planning with understanding as a guide.:


2. 21st Century Learners: Digital migrants vs Digital Immigrants. Understanding the needs of today's learners is essential for teachers to design engaging lessons utilizing the latest digital media. At the end of this workshop teachers will be able to use simple digital media tools in their everyday lessons. This workshop is also available for administrators.


3. Collaborative learning: Online Collaboration is quickly becoming an essential element of all facets of life. Teachers will discover how to create and collaborate with colleagues online. You will see how easy it is to set up learning environments for students to collaborate on projects as well.

Collaboration is not a 21st Century Skill, it is a 21st Century Essential.

4. Inquiry based learning: Student lead inquiry is the most powerful way to tap into students prior knowledge and have them engage in meaningful learning experiences. This workshop will give teachers the tools they need to design 4 to 6 week units of inquiry that are concept based.
